The Challenge
The Solution
“The ScorpionTrack Fleet system continues to deliver a variety of productivity improvements, cost savings and tools that enable us to deliver an even better service to our customers. The system supports multiple departments in our business and used daily by our Managing Director, Finance Director, Workshop Manager, Hire Manager, Depot Managers and myself as Transport Manager.
In dispatching to, and retrieving plant from our clients, the nearest vehicle tool on the system’s live map enables us to efficiently dispatch plant to the client’s location.
Within the system’s live map, I can draw geofences around each of our plant’s locations in seconds, then set alerts and reports to notify us of precise times at which our hired plant enters and exits each customer site.
Similarly, the system enables us to set tiered access permissions for our major clients too. This has enabled us to extend our service offering beyond just plant hire by allowing major clients ScorpionTrack Fleet system access so they too can manage and monitor the movement of the plant we’ve hired them.
For vehicles on rental, we’re able to provide them with instant (and scheduled) mileage reports.
The ability to ‘group vehicles’, schedule custom reports for different users and assign different levels of access rights means each of our Management Team and customers get the exact info relevant to them as and when they need it. As the system is so easy to navigate and understand, there has been no or minimal training required for each user.
The system also assists our FORS Silver Standard compliance requirements enabling us to report on fuel usage, CO2 emissions, excessive idling and speeding.
Our workshop manager receives weekly reports on plant engine time usage to help us proactively monitor and schedule plant servicing in advance of our 500 hours service intervals.
Our Finance Director receives automatically generated timesheets that tells him everything he needs to know for wages processing – even linking timesheets to locations and journeys. He’s pleased with the labour savings and even more with the cost savings delivered by using the system.
Our Hire Planner has live and scheduled reporting on exactly where our plant is located and how much it’s being used.
ScorpionTrack Fleet is an excellent product and Scorpion Automotive’s customer service is excellent. We would recommend the product to any company operating a fleet of vehicles and machinery.”
