At ScorpionTrack we continued our strong 2026 with £225,300 worth of stolen vehicles successfully recovered during June.
Working alongside police forces across the UK, our dedicated Vehicle Recovery Specialists helped locate and recover a wide range of stolen vehicles, from premium SUVs and executive vehicles through to a commercial van covered by our fleet tracking solutions.
The Metropolitan Police Borough and West Midlands Police each responded to the highest number of vehicle theft incidents this month — a reminder that organised vehicle crime remains a persistent problem across the UK. We’re proud to work with police boroughs across the country, and we’d like to thank both forces for their continued effort to support our customers in the event of a vehicle theft.
ScorpionTrack’s total is part of a wider £492,800 recovered across Scorpion Automotive Group in June, combined with Datatool’s motorcycle and scooter recoveries – our teams tackle vehicle crime across two wheels and four, every month of the year.
FASTEST RECOVERY COMPLETED IN JUST 45 MINUTES
One of the standout recoveries in June was completed in just 45 minutes from theft to recovery, when a Land Rover Discovery fitted with ScorpionTrack was located and returned to its owner in the Metropolitan area.

MOST TARGETED VEHICLES IN JUNE
June’s standout recovery was a BMW XM 50E worth £87,000, tracked down and returned to its owner within hours of the theft being reported. Land Rover was the most frequently targeted make of the month, with recoveries in both London and the West Midlands.

VEHICLE THEFTS MOSTLY OCCURRED OVERNIGHT
Recovery data from June showed that two-thirds of vehicle thefts occurred during nighttime hours, meaning the majority of thefts took place while owners were asleep.

When reporting a stolen vehicle, you should first contact the police and obtain a Crime Reference Number (CRN). Once this is passed to our Vehicle Recovery Team, we can begin working directly with the relevant police force to track and recover your vehicle.
